I've decided after skiing for 3 years, to finally buy a pair. I'm kind of fed up of my friends racing ahead of me on their fancy new skis while I lag behind on my crappy rental ones. So does anyone have any recommendations for a decent pair of skis to buy? I have no idea what brands or type to get. Advice on what boots, bindings, and poles are welcome too.
What skis to get?
Well if your gonna go down the twin tip road, i would suggest going with Armada...If you can get last seasons AR6 that would probably be the best deal...It is just stiff enough to be a great all mountain ski and just flexible enough to be good in the park too...As for boots and bindings....Boots don't matter too much, i personally like rossignol's because they fit me well but the biggest part about buying boots is to get some that fit well not look cool... I personally like Salomon bindings however marker and rossignol have some pretty nice bindings...I'm doubting that after 3 years of skiing, you'll notice too much difference in any binding. If your looking to spend less money on the skies you could look towards some K2 or Salomon twin tips that new are only 300-350...Pretty much anything you get right now however will be a bargain because shops need to get last seasons equipment out.... GOOD LUCK have fun
