Donate? Trash? Sell? These skis are only functional if you have the specific type of boots that use the obsolete binding design. It would be a shame to just trash these beauties.
How to dispose of old cross-country skis (once top-of-the-line) w/ obsolete bindings? SF Bay Area?
Somebody may still want them. Especially if the bindings are removable.
I wouldn't throw them in the trash. If you have time, maybe post a little ad on a bulletin board for used gear in a sports shop. Here in Utah REI maintains such a board. Don't expect to get much more than $20 though.
If it's not worth your time, drop them off at a local thrift store.
Reply:If they are old and out dated you may have a hard time selling them. You may just want to donate them. If you know someone where it snow alot you could have them donate them to a school or thift shop in a more wintery area.
There are also ski swaps in some areas you can take them and sell them or trade them for something.
I grew up in Utah and we had cross country skiing classes and the equipment had been donated from all kinds of places. some of the stuff was old school but functional and good enough for high school kids to learn on and see if they like the sport.
GOod Luck
Reply:Craig's list, eBay, newspaper, local school paper, donate to charities. Worse comes to the worst, the local garbage tip, or put them under the stairs and deal with them the next time you move :)
Reply:Well i would sugest that you put them on ebay or into your local buy swap and sell paper
Reply:Try craigslist.org to sell them. If that doesn't work, perhaps EBay will work. Failing that, donate them to the Salvation Army.
Good luck.
