Do you wear gaitors over your pants while snowshoeing?

My boyfriend says you wear them over your boots but under your ski pants

Do you wear gaitors over your pants while snowshoeing?
I wear gaiters over my regular pants. This keeps the snow out of my boots.





If I also have to wear snowpants or rainpants, those go over the gaiters. If it rains, the rain will not go down into my gaiters. Also, if I need to shed the snowpants or rainpants I don't have to take off the gaiters.





Your BF is correct.
Reply:Anything that covers the gap so snow cannot go down your boot works. Most wear the gaiters on top of pants and boot.
